The Peony Dress Sewing Pattern is my most dramatic pattern design yet! I wanted to create something no one would ever guess could be handmade and I made sure that this sewing pattern comes as a complete package, with professional finishes. A dress that you can proudly call your own.

The bodice features a structured corset-style design that beautifully cinches the waist, paired with a two-piece bustier cup that offers enough support to go braless. The silhouette is elevated by a voluminous, layered tulle underskirt, included in the pattern package so you won’t need to look elsewhere for how to make a tulle underskirt.

The dress is fully lined and has adjustable straps for a custom fit.

And yes it has pockets, hidden in the side seams and big enough to hold your phone, lipstick, or anything else you need, without disturbing the clean lines of the full skirt.

Main Fabric (Shell Fabric): Medium-weight, non-stretch woven fabrics with structure are recommended for this dress pattern. Choose fabrics made from natural, blended, synthetic, or artificial fibers (such as viscose, modal, lyocell, or cupro).

Ideal fabric types include taffeta, poplin, satin, jacquard, peach-finish satin or Duchess satin. Note: Thin, soft, or stretchy fabrics are not recommended.

Density: The ideal fabric density for this dress should range between 170–300 g/m² (medium weight).
