The Muse Dress sewing pattern is inspired by the Valentino Pink PP Collection. I’ve always loved how their designs highlight a woman’s figure, shoulders, and neckline.
I drafted this PDF sewing pattern to be a more wearable version of that look. The sleeves are designed to stay in place, so they won’t fall off your shoulders, and that’s why the back neckline is slightly higher. Each sleeve also features a small slit, making it easier to slip your hand through while allowing room for jewelry.
The dress is fully lined, and the sleeves are finished with sleeve facings. I’ve included a detailed YouTube tutorial (linked in the sewing instructions) showing you how to sew the sleeve facing step-by-step.
The dress pattern also includes side darts, and that’s not just to give you more to sew, but to define your feminine silhouette. The overall shape is hourglass-like, but more subtle than the Hourglass Dress sewing pattern.
This dress sewing pattern is figure-hugging with minimal ease, so make sure to check the size chart carefully or choose a fabric with a bit of stretch.
