I designed the Go-To Low-Waist Trousers sewing pattern to offer the perfect mix of comfort and style trousers you’ll want to wear every day. This PDF sewing pattern features a pull-on elastic waistband, diagonal front pockets, and a relaxed yet polished fit, making it a versatile trouser pattern for any occasion.

I’ve graded this sewing pattern for Petite, Regular, and Tall sizes, so you can get the right fit no matter your height. My goal with this pattern was to make it as beginner-friendly as possible, combining a simple trouser design with detailed, step-by-step sewing instructions to guide you through the process so you can sew them easily, even if you're just starting out.

Waist ease, without elastic: 14 cm
Hip ease: 3 cm

The model is 163 cm / 5'4" tall with measurements:
Bust 85 cm / 33.5"
Waist 68 cm 26.8"
Hips 94 cm 37"
and is wearing a size Regular, EU34 / US 04.

Main Fabric: The fabric should have at least 3% stretch, which is essential for proper fit and ease of movement. Look for woven fabrics with good structure and stretch, such as twill, denim, cotton sateen, gabardine, or ponte knit.

Avoid fully synthetic fabrics.

What Density
The ideal fabric density for these trousers should range between 250–400 g/m² (medium to heavy weight).

Lining Fabric: The pocket lining can be made from either the main fabric, depending on its thickness, or a lining fabric. Suitable materials for the pocket lining include viscose, silk, or polyester. Choose a fabric that is lightweight and smooth.
