I designed this dress sewing pattern with a clean, fitted silhouette, voluminous flower cuffs, and a dramatic hem flounce. I love the contrast between the simple shape of the dress and the sculptural details, which gives it a modern and elegant look.

The cuffs and hem are made using a fishing-line technique and a rolled hem, which gives them soft, wavy volume while still holding their shape. I designed this pattern for stretch knit fabrics, so the dress is comfortable to wear while still looking structured and polished.

This pattern is perfect if you want to sew a quick statement dress with unique details. I guide you through the entire process, including detailed instructions for making the cuffs and hem, and I’ve even made a YouTube tutorial on how to make the flower cuffs.

I love this dress for special occasions, festive events, or anytime you want to wear something that feels both classic and a little bold.

The model is 163 cm / 5'4" tall with measurements:
Bust 85 cm / 33.5"
Waist 68 cm 26.8"
Hips 94 cm 37"
and is wearing a size EU34 / US04.

Bust ease: 0 cm
Waist ease: 6 cm
Hip ease: -4 cm

Main Fabric: Use stretch knit fabrics, such as Ponte di Roma or heavy-weight jersey.

Important: For sewing this dress, it is recommended to use only stretchy knit fabrics.

Recommended fabric weight: approx. 310 - 450 g/m² (medium-heavy weight).

Minimum stretch requirement: the fabric must have at least 20% stretch.

To check the stretch, take a 10 cm piece and make sure it stretches to at least 12 cm.
